It’s that time again—Amazon Prime Day(s). Yes, plural. This year, we get a full 96 hours of lightning deals, impulse buys, and—let’s be honest—a little retail therapy never hurt anyone.
But let’s be real: a lot of what's on sale is junk you'll regret by next Tuesday.
So here’s my quick roundup of actual useful, well-priced stuff—gear I either use regularly or would genuinely recommend.
Apple AirPods Pro 2 Wireless Earbuds
$149.00 (regular price is $249.00)
This is the lowest price I’ve seen on the second-generation AirPods Pro with USB-C. Great sound, best-in-class noise canceling, and now they finally charge with the same cable as everything else. If you’ve been holding out, this is the time.
Premier Protein Shake
25% off - I’m not a doctor—or an “influencer”—but I do like these shakes. They travel well, taste pretty decent, and help me hit protein goals . Chocolate, caramel, vanilla, etc.—all on sale. The banana is disgusting (You’ve been warned.) I like to order a shot of espresso over ice and add the shake. Makes for a good drink!
Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier
30% off - the actual price varies by flavor. A conference crowd favorite—because let’s be honest, hydration often takes a back seat to happy hour. These electrolyte packets are a lifesaver when you're traveling, working long hours, or, uh… recovering from too much wine or tequila.
Apple AirTag 4 Pack
$64.99 (regular price is $99.99)
You never think you need one—until you lose something. AirTags are the simplest way to track your keys, backpack, or checked luggage. A 4-pack gives you peace of mind in all the right places. These saved me a couple of years ago at the NYSSEA conference, where one of my bags ended up in Fresno instead of Albany!
Wall Charger, Surge Protector, QINLIANF 5 Outlet Extender with 4 USB Charging Ports
$9.48 (regular price is $12.96)
Perfect for hotel rooms, tight office setups, or anywhere that needs more power and fewer adapters.
Apple iPad mini (A17 Pro)
$379.00 (regular price is $499.00)
I’m a big fan of the iPad mini. This new version is blazing fast with the A17 chip and works with the Apple Pencil Pro. Perfect for note-taking, reading, or watching Netflix on the plane. My only negative is that I wish they would improve the screen quality. They did such a good job with the iPad Pro display that it spoils you. I still travel with the iPad mini and do not regret purchasing it.
Dyson Purifier Cool™ TP07 Smart Air Purifier and Fan - White/Silver
$349.99 (regular price is $649.99)
You’re paying for the name—but also the quality. If you're sensitive to dust, pollen, or pet dander (or you just want cooler air in your office), this is one of the few air purifiers I’d splurge on. I have one in my office and like it.
Sony WH-1000XM6
$428.00 (regular price is $449.99)
Ideal for flights, deep work sessions, or blocking out your neighbor’s lawn mower. Not in the Apple ecosystem? These are your next-best pick.
Anker USB C to USB C Cable (6FT, 2Pack)
$8.99 (regular price is $15.99)
It’s 2025. If you’re still living that “one charging cable” life, you’re playing with fire. Grab a two-pack and stash them everywhere.
Anker MagGo Power Bank, Qi2 Certified 15W Ultra-Fast MagSafe-Compatible Portable Charger
$64.99 (regular price is $89.99)
Snap it on and go. Great for charging your iPhone without cords. And since it's Qi2-certified, it's faster than older magnetic models. This goes with me everywhere.
Anker Laptop Power Bank, 25,000mAh Portable Charger with Triple 100W USB-C Ports
$94.49 (regular price is $134.99)
Yes, this can charge your MacBook or Lenovo ThinkPad X1. And your iPad. And your phone. All at once. This thing is a powerhouse—perfect for digital nomads or long conference days. This stays in my travel backpack.
Anker Prime 67W USB C Charger
$34.99 (regular price is $59.99)
A compact, multi-port charger that can handle your phone, tablet, and laptop. If you’re still packing multiple bricks when you travel, this is your upgrade.
Samsung 75-Inch Class QLED 4K LS03D The Frame Series Quantum
$1697.00 (regular price is $2997.99)
A massive QLED 4K TV that doubles as wall art. This is the lowest price I’ve seen on the new Frame model. If you've been eyeing one, now’s your moment. This is a luxury item, and you’re paying a premium for a thin screen that looks like art. I have a smaller one in my home office and bedroom, and love the digital art. The 75-inch would look great in my living room. Decisions. Decisions.

Hi Josh,
Have you tried any of the AI-augmented meeting recorders? They can record entire meetings and produce summaries (and allow you to play back the meeting if you need to hear something specific). The theory sounds promising but the prices fluctuate like gasoline. I have seen these on social media but buying stuff off a Facebook link gives me the heebee-jeebies.
